Lucky Saint and ASCND have joined forces for Mental Health Awareness Week 2022, with Lucky Saint training ASCND’s ride leaders and members of the wider cycling community as mental health first aiders.

Lucky Saint's Mental Health Champion and accredited Mental Health First Aid England practitioner Harry Corin kicks off Mental Health Awareness Week with the first of a series of training courses for riders to join throughout the year. Mental health first aid training teaches how to identify, understand, and help someone potentially experiencing a mental health issue. Participants will learn to recognise warning signs of mental ill-health and develop the skills and confidence to approach and support someone while keeping themselves safe.

Last October, Lucky Saint founder Luke Boase committed to training 100s of colleagues in the hospitality and retail industries as mental health first aiders to reach 1000s more. In partnering with Nick Frendo and the team at ASCND, both organisations help contribute to Mental Health First Aid England's goal of training 10% of the UK workforce with mental health first aid skills.
